We’re excited to announce the launch of the “Brinc Cosmos” — a metaverse extension of our acceleration business. Game changing founders will get an opportunity to participate and showcase their businesses through a unique shark-tank-type pitch stage The Sandbox . Our goal is to be able to connect and support more teams from all around the world through an engaging and immersive experience without the need for travel and unnecessary carbon emissions.

We’re aiming to educate, entertain, and inspire all key startup stakeholders in the metaverse through the “Brinc Cosmos” by setting up a space for live ideation, a pitch stage, and future world for innovation experiences. Startup founders and project leaders will be able to connect with an audience of live judges to display and demonstrate their Web3 businesses across key categories of Arts and Culture, Blockchain, Digital Entertainment, Food Technology, Climate Change, and many more.

The space will be available for teams that we have already invested in as well as curated entrants that have a unique solution to showcase. Founders can showcase ideas and also learn from key mentors, advisors and industry practitioners on how Web3 can play a key role in sustainability and climate change. Judges, mentors, and visitors will be offered exclusive rewards such as tokens and NFTs for active participation through voting, engagement, and game play. Founders on the Pitch Stage will gain necessary exposure and a chance to secure investment.

Brinc’s entry into The Sandbox is an extension of our collaborative relationship that started in January 2022, when we announced The Sandbox Metaverse Accelerator launch with US$50 million committed to 100 startups enhancing the open metaverse. We received more than 800 startup applications from around the world within the first month of its debut callout and are currently in due diligence as we work to finalize investments ahead of an upcoming summer cohort in 2022.

Our space in The Sandbox was announced in April 2022 along with a series of new partners for Mega City 2, the second phase of Hong Kong’s vibrant cultural hub in the metaverse. To celebrate these partnerships, The Sandbox launched a new LAND Sale, to allow players to buy LANDs and become a part of the Mega City neighbourhood. Brinc is excited to join this culturally vibrant community that represents the city, alongside other new entrants that include Ocean Park, Standard Chartered, Regal Hotels Group, Tatler Asia, EVI, MADworld, Gameone, Chord Hero, Time Gates of Hong Kong Pop Culture, and UFO School.
